What Is the First House in Vedic Astrology?
The First House begins from the exact zodiac sign rising on the eastern horizon at the precise time and place of your birth. Astrologers call that rising sign the Ascendant, or Lagna. Once the Lagna is fixed, the remaining eleven houses are arranged in an unbroken sequence.
